The reality was : a clean up… Then a long time afterwards, we found a fairy tale...better yet, a true story !

When I was a child, I was attracted to drawing and art.

My parents regularly did different odd jobs in Paris at the home of Mme Langevin, whose maiden name was Madeleine Weil. According to my mother, Mme Langevin was Marcelle Cahn's cousin.

When Mme Marcelle Cahn died, her 'bedroom-workshop' at the Fondation Galignani in Neuilly-sur-Seine was partially cleaned out by Mme Langevin's son.

Mme. Langevin asked her housekeeper, Mme Léonce, and my father to finish up the job. In fact, Mme Langevin gave anything that she deemed worthless to Mme Léonce, who in turn offered my parents anything they might want to take. This is how I came to have the artist's everyday things: glasses, cups, sheets, her stool and... a bag of stickers.

Strangely enough, I kept this bag of stickers during my entire childhood without really knowing what was inside it nor who it had belonged to.

Having grown up, I became interested in Mme Marcelle Cahn and her work and remembered my old bag of stickers...

And so it was much later that inside it I found numerous essays and works signed by Marcelle Cahn.

And that's the story...

And since then I very carefully guard my treasure as the real treasure it is...
